What to do if your mobile credit does not show up

You paid, or you think you paid, and the phone still shows the old balance. The useful next step is narrow: find out whether a charge was captured, whether a credit was submitted, and whether the number on the order is the number you are staring at. Panic payments, made again on a different site, are how people pay twice.
Northline does not control the provider's balance screen. We can speak to the state of an order we created. We cannot see the minutes or the data bucket. This guide is a sequence, not a promise that the credit will appear.
Separate a waitlist email from a payment
If you only joined the waitlist, no card was charged and no credit was sent. The confirmation is an on-page message, not a receipt with an order reference. There is nothing to track and nothing to refund. Wait for an email if payments open later, or use another path the account holder already trusts.
Find the order reference
A completed payment has a reference that looks like a short random code, not 001, 002, 003. It is in the receipt email and on the receipt page. If you do not have it, search the inbox for the receipt address you typed, including spam. Do not start a second payment until you know the first one failed.
Look the order up on the track page with the reference plus the receipt email or the last four digits of the number. A mismatch returns the same not-found message as a wrong reference. That is intentional. It keeps strangers from learning which detail was wrong.
Read the status without inventing a clock
Payment captured and credit not yet posted means money was taken and the phone account has not been credited in our record. Credit posted means the partner reported that the provider accepted it. Refunded means the credit was not posted and the charge was sent back toward the card.
None of those words include a minute guarantee. Provider apps refresh on their own schedule. Ask the account holder to check the balance the way they usually do, then wait before you pay again. Paying a second time because the first screen looked stale is a common duplicate.
Check the number, not just the dollars
The receipt shows a masked number, last four digits visible. Compare those digits with the phone in your hand. If they differ, the credit may be on another line. Contact us with the reference. Do not ask us to move airtime. We cannot pull a posted credit off a number.
Use the refund rule when it applies
If the payment was captured and the credit is not posted, Northline refunds the charge. Say that plainly when you write to support, and include the reference. Card issuer posting of a refund often takes several business days. We do not control that second leg.
If the provider already shows the credit, a refund is not the tool that removes it. The provider's own policy decides whether applied credit can be reversed. Tell support what the balance screen shows so we do not start a refund that does not match the facts. Include the time you checked and the last four digits you see on the handset. A second person in the household may have paid the same line. Ask them before you open another payment page. Two honest payments are not a system error, and combining them into one refund request will not match either order.
Keep a simple log for the day: reference, amount, status word, and what the balance screen said. That log is enough for support. It is also enough to stop you from describing the same payment three different ways in three messages. We can search an order from the reference. We cannot search the provider's network for your name. If several people in the house use the same email, say who paid. The receipt email alone does not tell us which person is writing.
- Confirm you are not only on the waitlist.
- Find the order reference before you pay again.
- Match the last four digits.
- Read the status, then check the provider balance once.
- Ask for a refund when a captured payment did not post a credit.
Before you open a second site. Say out loud whether money has left the card. If you only joined a waitlist, it has not. If a receipt exists, read the status before you look for another checkout. A second site cannot see the first order and cannot speed it up. It can only create another charge. If the status is refunded, wait for the card to show the return before you decide the refund failed. Issuer delays are common and are not the same as a missing credit. If the status still says the credit was not posted, write to support once, with the reference, and stop retrying the form. Repeated tries can hit a rate limit and do not add new facts. The balance on the phone remains the account holder's check, not something we can refresh from here.
Questions
How fast will a credit show?
We do not publish a guaranteed time. Partner and provider systems differ.
Should I send my card number with the complaint?
No. The order reference is enough to find the payment.
